Terrace RCMP wrapped up its summer “positive ticket” campaign and most grand prize winners have been awarded their prizes. A number of businesses in Terrace came together this spring and contributed to this program by donating prizes for kids who were “caught” doing something positive by the RCMP this summer.
Nearly 300 positive tickets were awarded to children of all ages in Terrace who were found wearing their bike helmets or engaged in other positive activities.
Community police officer Cst. Kelly Cates congratulated the winners calling this summer’s program a success thanks to overwhelming support from the community.
“So many business were excited to contribute to this initiative.
“Many young people had positive interactions with the RCMP as a result. The Terrace RCMP want to extend a sincere thank you to all the businesses that made this event possible.”
