The Terrace Junior badminton team has won the title of best in the northwest after their zone win in Smithers April 30.

The Terrace Junior badminton team has won the title of best in the northwest after their zone win in Smithers April 30.

With a lot of determination and some tough rallies, the Terrace team took on teams from Smithers and Prince Rupert for the win.

Players are now gearing up to attend the 2011 provincial championships in Kamloops May 26 – 28.

The team is made up for 15 students from Caledonia Senior Secondary school and Skeena Junior Secondary school.

They are coached by Surinder Dhaliwal and Andrew Blix.
