Posties worried

Dear Sir:

Postal workers take pride in providing prompt, dependable service to Terrace and surrounding areas which is why we are so concerned about Canada Post’s plan to reduce services by not staffing adequately.

This plan will result in a deterioration or perhaps elimination of services for the citizens of our community. This will hurt local businesses and will drain more jobs from the local economy.

Canada Post claims that the changes will improve efficiency but it has yet to prove that the plan would maintain the current level of service. This plan will have a significant effect on  our local community, however Canada Post has failed to seek real input from residents, businesses, the union and elected officials.

All postal workers encourage citizens and community leaders to take a stand against these changes.

Canadian Union of Postal Worker members would also like to thank their customers for keeping pathways clear with our unpredictable weather.
