Political correctness getting out of hand

To the editor.

Hasn’t this political correctness gotten a bit out of hand ? While I personally am not a member of any faith-based organization, I can respect those who are , assuming the faith is not being used to harm others.

I can understand not having prayers at council meetings as that could offend people of other faiths.

I see advertising for Diwali and Hanukkah in the local newspaper flyers, and nobody seems to get in a snit about those. Maybe we should consider a time share arrangement. Nativity scene at Christmas, and displays from other faith groups at other times.
