Local students draw praise

Dear Sir:

I took the ferry over to the mainland so I might hear both the Caledonia and Thornhill bands play at MusicFest Canada.

What a delight to see such fine ambassadors/musicians representing the Pacific Northwest Music Festival and indeed all Terrace and Thornhill residents.

It was a thrill for me to be part of their audience as having been president of the Pacific Northwest Music Festival for three years to see that the fine arts/music program was still very much alive in the area.

I got a chance to congratulate Mr. Geoff Parr, Mr. Michael Wen and Mrs. Susan Brouwer.

I was unable to see the Skeena bands play this year.

This is the second time in my 10 years in Nanaimo that I have taken the opportunity to attend this event in Richmond and support the bands there.

Keep up the excellent work.

Olga Power,

Nanaimo, BC

During her time in Terrace Olga Power was also a member of Terrace city council .
