Dear Sir:

We would like to thank you for the remarkable article written by Janine Workman in the Aug. 31 edition of The Terrace Standard.

The article, “Bit by bit,” made the problems faced by serious cancer patients and sick children in purchasing prescription medicine stand out for all readers to see.

We are already receiving more calls from people wishing to help out. You have made a big difference with your excellent article.

Thanks to Janine Workman for the great work.

We have now added Shoppers Drug Mart in the medical clinic.

They opened an account for our Helping Hands group and on Sept. 7, 2011, we put $1,000 in that account to start.

Ron and

Mavis Ramsey,

Terrace, BC
