Passed suddenly April 23, 2006
in Smithers, B.C.
Robert will be remembered by friends as well as his companion Ellen of Terrace. He is also mourned by his family, brothers Sean and Brian of
Terrace, son George of Kitimat, daughters Kathleen of
Kamloops, Elizabeth of Armstrong and Arwen of Edmonton. He also leaves 3 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters.
Robert worked as an electrician at Alcan for over 22 years and retired in 2003.
Robert was a recent cancer survivor, and before his death was looking forward to spring and summer in Kitimat and Terrace and warmer climates in the winter months.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for sailing, golf, cross country skiing, shooting, kayaking, photography and carving. He hiked the high desert around Kamloops and portions of the Trans Canada Trail. He also hiked from central to coastal B.C. and in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Mexico and Hawaii.
Robert was a modern day explorer and he will be missed.
