In loving memory ~
Rey had accepted a job as Chaplain in the Upper Skeena area with the Salvation Army. He was excited to be back in his homeland. To be working with friends and relatives in the Gixan area. He became sick with Covid in September 2021. Due to other health issues it hit him hard. Rey spent 43 days in hospital. Even while in hospital, Nurses said he was a joy to be around.
His sister Verna Barton, his brother Don Mowatt Sr, our son Jesse, my sister Geri Robinson, niece Starlene Robinson and myself Dawn were able to be at his side in Nanaimo Hospital.
Thank you to All who made the trip possible. Thank you Gitsegukla Band & Health Station. Thank you Geri & Starlene for driving us. Thank you Telford, Toneff and Boyd Funeral Home for cremation services. We were able to bring Rey home to Terrace with us when we left Nanaimo.
Celebration of life, Burial and Settlement Feast will be in October 2022.
Your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure.
You are loved beyond words. Missed beyond measure.
Our hearts were not ready to let you go.
Our lives will never be the same.
You were our greatest joy & love.
Your smile, laughter, sense of humour, love
for everyone will be missed.
Your wife Dawn, sons Jesse Rey
