With profound sadness, we announce the passing of a truly remarkable individual.
Eldest of ten siblings, Ovid is survived by one brother, a sister, three sons, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband to his late war bride, Anne for 71 years.
Starting his life in Terrace, BC, following overseas service he and his new bride settled post-war in Vancouver. "John" dedicated himself for 41 years to Finning Ltd., displaying unmatched versatility as a carpenter, engineer, manager, and a true genius in everything he undertook.
"Gramps" was a man of multifaceted brilliance. His keen mind was boundless and his generosity touched countless lives. He was a loving family man, a dedicated outdoorsman, a patient and knowledgeable teacher, and a superlative gardener.
Dad's was a life of unparalleled qualities, and his 100-year legacy is a testament to a life well achieved.
