In loving memory ~
With sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Norma Sanches on March 28th, 2022.
Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Norma came from a large family of 10; seven sisters and two brothers. Her early years in Linden, Guyana were filled with friends and family and she worked in the accounting department for the Demerara Bauxite Company a subsidiary of Aluminium Company of Canada Limited. She branched out to Montreal then Toronto before trekking west to Terrace in 1972. She called Terrace home, stayed and raised her family here. She loved making crafts for local children and attended many craft fairs and sales in the area. Her last few years without her husband, our dad, Domingos were a struggle, but was alleviated by the kind and supportive individuals at Terrace View Lodge. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to staff at Mills Memorial and TVL.
Norma is survived by her sisters Regina (Bournemouth, UK), Diana (California, USA), Jacqueline (Georgetown, Guyana), George (Georgetown, Guyana) and her children Nicole (Vancouver) and Rodney (UK).
