Born August 14, 1929 in Arrifes, São Miguel, Açores, Portugal
Passed away September 22, 2022 in Terrace, British Columbia
Maria is predeceased by her parents Emilia and Angelo Diogo, her husband Jose (2006), her son Jose Luis (2017}, her daughter in law Corrine Furtado (2014), her brothers and sisters Manuel Tiago Jose Pedro Maria Jose Angela and Urania.
Maria will be lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters in law Leonilda and Elizabeth.
Eight grandchildren: Margaret (John), Ricardo (Nichole), Candice (Mike), Tyler (Michelle), Christina (Adam), Mario (Brittany), Kylee and Leigha.
Twelve great grandchildren and so many nieces and nephews.
Maria will be missed by all her family members and friends.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:00 am, Sacred Heart Parish, Terrace BC

The Furtado family would like to express their appreciation to everyone that has shown their kindness throughout her life in deeds, errands, support, and for your attendance at Maria's funeral service.
Special Thank You to the nurses and caregivers at Mills Memorial Hospital and Terrace View Lodge (especially her favorite nurse Alannah McIntyre).
