January 19, 1935 - September 10, 2020
Gone to join her husband Fernando and daughter Lucy, Maria Jose Pires passed away on September 10, 2020 at the age of 85.
Maria was born January 19, 1935 in Sao Miguel, Azores and came to Canada to live out her life with her husband of 45 years. She will be remembered for her lively spirit and love of gardening and flowers. She loved participating as a vendor at the local farmers market and looked forward to selling all that she grew and made.
Deeply saddened by the loss of their Mom are her three children Joe (Cindy), Ileen (Mike) Sutherland and Renney. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and their family, sisters and their family along with many family and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
