Lorraine passed away August 5, 2022. Mom always wanted to be remembered as more than 'just a mom'.
She was a friend, lover and partner to Gordon for more than 65 years.
She was the eldest daughter to Tom and Lily Tysse
She was a big sister to Ann and Linda
She was a grandma to Hayes, Amanda, Leslie, Blair, Derek and Jamie
She was a great-grandma to Emily, Leah and Hayden
She was an office worker for Woodwards and BC Tel
She was a Gardener - with a capital "G". Happy to share her knowledge with friends and neighbors
She was a baker - the place to go for coffee and cookies. The door was always open.
She was an awesome dancer and could make old jeans look classy
She laughed and gave us a shoulder to cry on. She was common sense. She made us brave.
She went with dad wherever he needed her and could make it a home - Vancouver, Churchill, Edmonton, Germany, Prince George and Terrace, with lots of road trips and campgrounds along the way.
And, she was a great mom to Eric, Randi, Katherine, Ron and Rob
We miss her everyday. But, we have our memories to bring a smile.
We want to thank Dr Dhillon and the wonderful staff at Mills Memorial Hospital for looking after mom so well. Your caring makes a difference.
