It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Matriarch, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother, Lillian (Lou) June Lewis (nee Baker) of Terrace, BC. She was a member of the Squamish Nation.
She was very loved and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alfred (Fred) Lewis, of 68 years.
Her children Rick (Joan) Lewis, Ron (Crystal) Lewis, Debbie (Don) Snider, Donna (Ed) Carreiro, Cheryl (Rob) Stanvick, and daughter-in-law Debbie C.
Grandchildren, Corey (Tina), Craig (Andrea), Nichole (Rick), Sherry (Mike), Tara (David), Jenna (Jason), Fernando (Dani), Jonathan (Angela), Theresa, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Siblings Patricia Thomas, Harry (Judy) Baker, Gary Baker, Wayne Baker, Mona Macbean, Laura Schwoob, and Huey (Kelly) Baker. Many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ambrose Ray and May Winnifred Baker; her son, Alfred Lewis; and siblings Dorie Yelton, Jeanie Bomberry, Ricky Baker, Gayle Lumsden, and Chuck Baker.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 28, with a service at MacKay's Funeral Home at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the Skeena Valley Golf & Country Club at 1 p.m.
