My heart is saddened to share with you all, that my husband, Ken Swaby, though he was a very strong man, lost his fight with cancer at home peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 6:30 pm. at the age of 64.
He leaves behind brother Kelly, sister Marlaine; ex-wife Gail Barteren, children Kellie Laine & Kris and grandchildren Tanner, Parker, Grecia and step grandchildren Layne & Gage; myself, wife, Donna Swaby, stepchildren Amanda, Rachelle & Nicolas and step grandchildren Nevaeh, Dominic, Theodore & Laila.
Ken touched many hearts and will forever be missed. He joins many predeceased family, more importantly; his father and mother Ron & Colleen Swaby, & friends, where he celebrates his new beginning in heaven; healthy & pain- free.
Many thanks to the Kimmunity Angels Society in Terrace, for their generous help and support throughout Ken's cancer treatments organized in Vancouver, B.C; with your help, made his treatments all possible. Also, to all the NHA Community Home Support Palliative team and doctors; Kyle McIver and M Nour Bukhres; for enabling Ken's wish to stay at home happen; thank you for all of your constant care and home visits.
A mass will be said in Ken's honour on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 08:30 am to celebrate his life and passing, at the Catholic Church; 4830 Straume Avenue, in Terrace, B.C.
Ken and I wish any donations be sent to the Kimmunity Angels Society in care of Donna Slavik, 4735 Bolton Drive, Terrace, B.C. in lieu of flowers; so others may also benefit in their time of need.
