April 23, 1952 - June 2, 2019
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Judith Diane Eisner on June 2, 2019.
Judy was born in Smithers on April 23, 1952 to Neta and Jim Arnold. As a child, her family moved frequently before settling permanently in Terrace.
Judy met the love of her life, Irv Eisner, when she was waitressing at the Lakelse Hotel. They were married in 1971 and their children Marty, Kari and Mitchell arrived shortly after.
Judy's career at the Bank of Nova Scotia began in 1983 where she worked for 25+ years. Judy loved to entertain, garden, bake, knit and play cards. As well, she was heavily involved in the Totem Saddle Club and the Northwest Therapeutic Riding Associations.
In 2009, Judy was diagnosed with amyloidosis and cancer. She fought a valiant battle and refused to let her sickness define her. She made it to every family event with a smile no matter how she was feeling. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, co-worker and friend.
She is survived by Irv, her husband of 48 years, her children Marty (Michelle), Kari (Kelly) and Mitch, siblings Barb (Brian), Ron (Lisa) and grandchildren Meghan, Colby and Jaden. She will be greatly missed. Her Celebration of Life was held in Terrace on June 7, 2019 and was attended by many family and friends.
