Judith Ann Speyers

(nee Kerby)

July 30, 1945 – October 10, 2008

Judy passed away peacefully in Kamloops with her family by her side.

She is survived by her loving husband Jan, son Jim (Allison), mother Mamie Kerby, brothers and sisters Bob (Judy), Norma, Eric (Wanda), Eva (Gary) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was born in Terrace to Mamie and Fred Kerby. Judy graduated from Skeena High School and volunteered as a candy-striper at Mills Memorial Hospital. Judy obtained her R.N. from Vancouver General Hospital and her Public Health Nursing degree from U.B.C. She worked in several communities in BC as a R.N. and Public Health Nurse. Judy was working in Prince George as a Public Health Nurse when she met her husband Jan Speyers. Judy and Jan had a farm in Giscome, just outside of Prince George, where they raised their daughter Janette and son Jim. Judy and Jan moved to Kamloops several years ago.

A memorial service was held in Kamloops, October 12th 2008, with family and friends in attendance.
