It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Joan Louise Peterson, of Terrace BC, in Vancouver on June 24th, 2018 of a Brain Aneurysm at the age of 53.
She leaves to mourn her loss her partner Darren Munson (Terrace), her son Russell Peterson (Terrace), her Mother, Teresa Rollier (Terrace), her sister Betty Pelletier (Bobby) (Terrace), her brother Glenn Peterson, (Terrace) and sister Lorrie Peterson, (Terrace), her aunts, several nieces, and cousins.
She is also survived by her extended family, Susan Munson,(Terrace) (her second Mom), Rylyn Munson (Jon), (Terrace), and Rhett Munson (Kayla), (Terrace) and her special grandson Noah, brother and sister in laws and their families and of course so many friends too numerous to mention.
She was predeceased by her father, Russel Peterson (1973), her grandmother, Anna (1996), and step father, Nelson Rollier (2018).
Joan was always a kind and giving soul who put everybody ahead of herself right to the end of her life by being an organ donor.
The family wish to thank our local ambulance attendants, the staff of Mills Memorial Hospital, the Air Ambulance Crew, and the medical team at Vancouver General Hospital for their care and support.
Please join the family for a Celebration of her Life at the Days Inn Banquet room beside white spot restaurant, July 21st, 2018 at 2 pm with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in Joan's memory be made to NARA (Northern Animal Rescue Alliance) or the BC Cancer Society.
