Passed Away Oct. 27, 2011

Dev passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon while working with VIH Helicopters building a power line at Golden BC.

He is predeceased by his parents, Jim and Hazel Anderson and his sister Janice Anderson.

He is survived by his lifelong companion and loving wife Sherry, Brother Ivan (Lennie), Son Jim (Louise) Daughter Coleen and Grandchildren Ethan, Gavin, Jessica and Isaac.

Growing up in Quesnel, his family offered him many directions in life—he choose fixed wing flying in 1961.

He married Sherry in 1965 and then his flying career changed course to helicopters in 1967. He enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle and Terrace became home for raising his family and nurturing friendships that involved camping, skiing and boating cabins, volunteering with the Scouting movement and many other family and school activities as well as expanding his career with Okanagan Helicopters.

His abilities at work as well as sailing would take him and Sherry around the world building friendships wherever they went.

Semi-retired in Comox BC, Dev enjoyed sailing with friends, loving his grandchildren, and working in the helicopter industry to the end.

A service will be held in Comox BC November 12th 2011.

Donation to the Red Cross Disaster Relief in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
