Irene Kuemper

Irene was born on March 9, 1940 in Humbolt, Saskatchewan to George and Clara Thieman. She grew up on the family farm 2 miles East of Humbolt with her siblings Paul, Helen, William (Bill), and Rita.
Humbolt was dear to her heart as it is where she completed her high school years, started her career at the Co-op creamery, and later met the love of her life, Benno Kuemper. They were married on July 1, 1961 and then moved to Terrace where they continued to live and raise their son Lorne.
Irene was an active member of the Catholic Woman's League for most of her life, she enjoyed having family and friends visit at any opportunity - especially kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren.
Irene will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by countless friends, extended family, her husband of 62 years, Benno and their son Lorne (Karen), 4 grandchildren, Lindsey (Jeffrey) Turner, Bradley Kuemper (Angela Klassen), Cody (Brooke) Kuemper, Karlee Kuemper (Corey Taekema) and her 3 great grandchildren, Zachary and Annie Turner and Rhett Kuemper.
Funeral Mass will be held on Oct 27 at 11am at the Sacred Heart Church, Terrace BC.
