March 29, 1939 - November 22, 2018
Don moved the family to many beautiful places in Alberta and British Columbia building and designing sawmills. He loved travelling and always loved to come back to his hometown of Soda Creek and Williams Lake. Almost every
year you would find Don and Mavis at the Alkali Lake reservation to visit their friends in recovery. However, he chose Terrace to retire and stayed active doing volunteer work.
Everyone always noticed when he walked in a room with his big hardy laugh. His friendly presence and hugs were welcome by everyone. Don loved his wife Mavis and would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on November 27th.
He is survived by his wife Mavis and three daughters, Cherly Watts (Randy), Annette Sorensen (Tony), Tracy Dutton (Keith), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr Sohi and the staff at the Mills Memorial Hospital and Dr. Meyburg (his family Doctor), Dave Try, Ivy Sorensen and Jackie Murdoch for being with us at this difficult time.
