March 14, 1956 - January 30, 2019
With great sadness, Marsha, Robyn and Marlee share the passing of a husband, father and friend, Dave, on January 30, 2019.

Dave was born in Montreal and raised in Toronto. After graduating from McMaster University, he headed west to experience the mountains and pursue his passion, skiing. He worked for a year at Lake Louise ski resort, before completing his teaching certification at SFU. He started his teaching career in Kitwanga, then to South Hazelton, and on to Uplands Elementary in Terrace, where he taught for 27 years before he retired. He coached many teams and enjoyed his years as a classroom teacher.

Dave loved the outdoors and lived an active and full life. He was always on-the-go; enjoying many sports, fishing, hiking, gardening, paddling, biking, carpentry, renovating, just to name a few! Dave's motto was "make the most of each day."

Dave was a kind and generous friend who was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He was community minded, volunteering for many initiatives and activities through the years. He was passionate about My Mountain Co-op and contributed long hours as a director on the board.

Dave adored his family. He eagerly pursued countless adventures with his wife and partner of over 37 years, Marsha, and their two daughters, Robyn and Marlee. Together they skied, paddled and shared much laughter.

Dave left us far too soon, is missed immensely, and will be remembered always by his family and friends.

If desired, donations in Dave's memory can be made to my Mountain Co-op-Shames Mountain or to the Mt. Remo Backcountry Society.

A Celebration of Life for Dave will take place €on Monday, May 27 at 1pm€ at the REM Lee Theater in Terrace. A reception will follow at the Skeena Valley Golf Club.
