It is with sadness we announce the passing of Pete. Pete was born in Crossfield, AB and spent his younger years moving around Alberta with his parents following the rodeos.

Edson - farmed in Quesnel. He came to BC in 51. He came to Terrace to work in Pohle Mill. Then went to Black Pool to work in a mine. When his step father Horce Vance got hurt he came to Terrace to drive truck, then formed V&S trucking. Later in 1970, he and his wife Jessie formed Kermode Ent operating a logging truck. In 1978 they sold the truck & Pete went to work at the airport as heavy equipment operator to round out his working life.

Pete was very active in the Terrace Elks spending 2 years as Exhalted Ruler plus 2 years District Dept. In retirement he & Jessie travelled a lot & spent many, his camping at Kalum Lake.

He is survived by his loving wife Jessie & their blended family, Laine (Bonnie), Mona (Andy) Paige & Stan (Pegay), Dale (Shelly), Lyn (Pooran), Kelly (Ronda), 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren + 5 great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by stepson Trace, grandson Kelvin, sister May.

The family would like to thank Dr Fourie, Dr. Dufield & Dr. Debraine and the most wonderful staff in the world - the staff at Terrace View Lodge who took such good care of Pete & Jessie during this trying time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
