July 22, 1942 - December 27, 2023

Bev was born in Coleman Alberta. She was the eldest of three and had two brothers Greg and John. She lived most of her childhood in Kimberley B.C.

Bev received her teaching degree at the University of Victoria and started her first teaching job in Creston B.C. Bev taught primary school at Kiti K'shan and Jack Cook school until her retirement.

Bev loved her time gardening, playing in the Terrace Community Band, being a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Red Hats. She also loved playing and teaching mahjong with several groups.

Wayne and Bev met in Creston B.C. They were married in 1963 and were wonderful parents to their three children Kathie (Andrew) Gayle (Scott), and Rod (Deanna). They were proud grandparents of 8 (Taylor, Brianne, Cameron, Matthew, Braiden, Hailey, Justin and Dawson), and were excited to have met their first great granddaughter Willa this past year.

They loved golfing fishing, skiing, and travelling together especially in their retirement years. They enjoyed many winters as snow birds in California and summers at their home on Lakelse Lake.

The family would like to thank Northern Health home support and the wonderful staff at Terraceview Lodge that took such great care of Wayne for the last few years. Thanks also to Terrace Hospice Society and Dr. Fourie and staff for all your support during Bev's illness.

A service/celebration will be held early this summer.
