Tracey Davidson, executive director of Volunteer Terrace, is set to join the board of directors of Volunteer BC.
Davidson has been with the volunteering organization’s Terrace branch for six years and was selected for the board for 2021-2022.
This is the second time Davidson will be joining the board of directors, having served a term five years ago.
”We don’t have a lot of representation from this side [northern BC ], said Davidson, adding that she looks forward to advocating for communities on a provincial platform in her new role.
Before moving to Terrace, Davidson lived in North Vancouver where she volunteered for the North Shore Community Resource Society, North Shore Spirit of BC (2010 Legacies Now), and the North Shore Multicultural Society.
Volunteer Terrace also delivers support to the community through programs for seniors, youth, other non-profit organizations and restorative justice.
Volunteer BC is proud to have this community leader on their board, said the organization in a statement, adding, “Davidson will bring a unique blend of non-profit experience and passion to promote the value and importance of volunteerism across the province.”
Volunteer BC is partnered with the B.C. Government and aims to promote volunteerism in the province.
