UPDATE: Highway open again

HIGHWAY 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert was closed this morning.

HIGHWAY 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert is now open again.

But to single-lane traffic.

It was closed this morning to allow avalanche control measures to take place.

There’s now debris and the road and it is being cleaned up.

The estimated time of a full opening is 4 pm.
