Terrace teen threatens family member with knife

Boy also assaults family member when power cord to Xbox taken away as punishment.

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 40 calls for service from May 29, 8 a.m. till May 30, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were eight people lodged in Terrace Cells. Four of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

a white 2011 GMC Sierra truck parked unlocked on Greig Ave. was rifled through during the night of May 28/29.

49-year-old man disrupting customers at the Tim Horton's on Lakelse Ave. refusing to leave. He left on his own accord prior to police attendance.

a man and woman threw chips all over Safeway and were yelling and creating a disturbance. The 28-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were located at the Tim Horton's. They were intoxicated. A family member took the group home. Police were called to the home a few hours later due to the woman being intoxicated and belligerent. Police spoke with the family. A short time later police were called back to the residence. The woman and her 27-year-old sister had assaulted a family member. Both were arrested for assault.

two men fighting with a third breaking it up on Lakelse Ave. near the Inn of the West. The men had dispersed prior to police attendance. A 21-year-old man was located sleeping in the bush a short distance away. He had minor injuries from the fight but did not want BC Ambulance. He was told to go home till sober.

man passed out in the women's washroom of Tim Horton's on Lakelse Ave. He left prior to police attendance. Checks were done of the area.

false business alarm on Eby St.

a stolen white/blue Ford Bronco going through the drive through at Tim Horton's on Lakelse Ave.

Elsewhere Terrace

angry man causing a disturbance at the Ministry of Children and Families front counter. Police attended. The 36-year-old man had calmed down and was having a reasonable conversation with staff.

abandoned 911 call. Numerous call backs and checks were made. Police were unable to determine the phone's location.

sexual interference investigation. Unfounded.

abandoned 911 call. Police attended to the residence. A woman had dialed 911 to report a theft, thought better of using the emergency line for such a report, and so hung up.

separation issues. Civil dispute over property. Advice was given on the matter.

a warrant out of Dease Lake was executed on a 24-year-old man.

intoxicated man in the backyard of a residence on Pear St. Police arrested a 56-year-old man.

a black Dodge truck failed to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk on Kalum St. The license plate provided was incorrect. Checks were done of area.

71-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication on Park Ave./Kalum St.

sexual assault investigation.

theft from an unlocked vehicle during the evening of May 26th. A work radio was stolen.

two boys ages 17 and 13 entered a residence on Scott Ave. and ate all of the food in the fridge. Police spoke with the people involved.

intoxicated man crying in the parking lot of Copperside 3 on Kalum St. Checks were done of area.

a 14-year-old boy assaulted a family member then threatened her with a knife after the power cord to an Xbox was taken away as punishment. Police spoke with the people involved and Ministry of Children and Families. Further police involvement was not wanted.

man passed out near the Terrace Law Courts on Kalum St. A 35-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

noisy party on Halliwell Ave. Police spoke with the homeowner.

domestic dispute. Police spoke with a man and woman. Verbal argument over clothes and closet space. No offence committed.

a grey 2006 Chevrolet Impala was following close behind a loader, hit a curb, then slammed on the brakes at Hwy 16/Eby St. No offence occurred.

police observed an intoxicated man on Loen Ave. The 37-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

police observed a man known to be on conditions walking on Kalum St. Checks determined that the man was in breach of his condition to carry a recognizance with him at all times. The man was arrested. Further checks were done and the man was determined to not be in breach and released forthwith.

Thornhill

a brown Michael Kors wallet with a gold coloured zipper containing various cards and ID was lost possibly near Cottonwood Cr.

disturbance on Toynbee St. Police spoke with the people involved. The man was out in the yard and yelling at an employee on the phone.

harassment complaint via Facebook and texting. Ongoing separation issues. Police gave advice on the matter.

drug information received.

Gitaus

domestic assault. A 42-year-old man assaulted a 40-year-old woman. Police arrested the man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Cousel.

Kitsumkalum

a woman being held against her will at a residence. Police attended to the residence. The woman was not there. Police were able to locate the woman. This complaint was unfounded.

Rural

a grey Ford Escape crashed into a power pole on Hwy 37/Substation Rd. The driver was intoxicated. She managed to get the vehicle out of the ditch and head south on Hwy 37. Police pulled the vehicle over near Furlong Bay on Hwy 37. The 27-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device which resulted in a fail. She was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle she was driving was impounded.

a man and woman engaged in very loud sex beside the pond at Ferry Island.
