Terrace RCMP seeking three male suspects after armed invasion at Thornhill residence

The invasion took place on May 22 and victims suffered minor injuries

Terrace RCMP are seeking information on suspects associated with a home invasion that took place in Thornhill on May 22.

The armed invasion took place at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night in a residence in the 3900 block of Old Lakelse Drive.

According to the police, three men described as armed kicked in the door of the residence, entered and assaulted occupants before leaving with stolen items.

The victims received minor injuries.

Police released video surveillance images of the suspects and said the suspects were described as Indigenous males, adding their identity is unknown at this time.

“This home invasion is believed to have been targeted and police believe that the public is not at risk in relation to this event,” said Const. Kelly Cates, further explaining, that this is not a random act of violence.

The police is also asking those who can identify either of the suspects in the images, or have video surveillance from the area of the invasion, to contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
