Terrace RCMP assists three other detachments

A theft, a missing person and a warrant / harassment complaint keep officers busy between answering calls about drunk people

HERE'S THE incidents keeping police busy in the last 24 hours:

The Terrace RCMP have responded to approximately 31 calls for service from January 30, 8 a.m. till January 31, 8 a.m. During the same time period, six people were lodged in Terrace Cells – five of these were for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

three intoxicated people on Emerson St sitting on a park bench. Checks were done of area.

intoxicated man inside of a building on Park Ave. Police found the 42-year-old man passed out on the stairs and arrested him for public intoxication.

intoxicated 48-year-old man bothering customers of the Skeena Liquor Store on Greig Ave. Checks were done of area.

three men panhandling at the Royal Bank. Checks were done of area.

intoxicated woman walking on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested a 22-year-old woman for public intoxication.

theft from the Coast Inn Beer/Wine Store. Police arrested a 23-year-old man a short distance away for theft. A 2 L of Cider Cooler was seized from the man. The man also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Charges of theft are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

police observed an intoxicated woman walking down Lakelse Ave. The 33-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication.

two suspicious looking teenage girls bolted out of the Bear Country Inn and ran towards McDonalds.

Elsewhere Terrace

assist Richmond RCMP with a theft investigation

a person in a grey 1999 Honda CRV parked too close to a vehicle parked in a handicap zone at Walmart, preventing access.Facebook altercation. Threats back and forth between young teenage girls.

assist Coquitlam RCMP with locating a person.

well-being check of a person at a residence on Hall St. Nobody was in the residence.

two men in a silver van trying to sell an entertainment system on Kalum St.

disturbance at a residence on Scott Ave. Police spoke with people in the residence. Unsubstantiated.

dog in the middle of Lazelle Ave. Police found the dog and transported it to Terrace Animal Shelter.

intoxicated man passed out on a bench on the Millennium Trail near Canadian Tire. Police arrested a 45-year-old woman for public intoxication.

911 call from Mills Memorial Hospital. Police attended. Nobody was in need of help.

loss prevention officer of Walmart arrested a 17-year-old girl for theft.

911 call from a residence on Hanson St. Police spoke with an intoxicated woman. There was no offense committed. Police transported her to alternate lodging.

missing nine-year-old at Cassie Hall Elementary. She was located by her mother 10 minutes later.

assist Prince George Detachment with a warrant/harassment complaint. A woman does not want another woman contacting her.

Thornhill

theft of a handicapped parking permit from a grey 2000 Toyota Echo

Ministry of Children and Families requested police assistance with a well-being check. The person was not found at the residence.

a teenage girl walking into traffic on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. Checks were done of area.

intoxicated man no longer welcome in a residence on Queensway Dr. Common recurring theme of this residence. Police attempted to find a location for the 48-year-old man to stay but he was not wanted anywhere. He was arrested for public intoxication.

false business alarm on Kalum Lake Rd.
