Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the North Coast Inland, including Terrace and Kitimat region.
Up to 15 cm of snow, particularly over higher terrain, is expected this afternoon around these areas.
“A cold front stalled over the area is producing pockets of heavy snow,” said the weather advisory.
“There is some uncertainty in the timing of the rise of temperatures and freezing levels today. A delayed warming could significantly increase total snowfall amounts.”
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
