Shirtless man arrested for being drunk in public

Terrace RCMP called about possible fight and found this man.

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 25 calls for service from November 28, 8 a.m. till November 28, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were eight people lodged in Terrace Cells – six of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Panhandlers at the Royal Bank. Checks were done of the area.

Two intoxicated people on Kalum St./Emerson Ave. Police arrested a 37-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman for public intoxication.

A grey 2008 Chevrolet Uplander and a green 1999 Dodge van were involved in a collision on Greig Ave. and Kalum St. Minor injuries to the driver of the Dodge.

The tip jar was stolen from the Coast Inn Beer and Wine Store. An intoxicated 21-year-old man was arrested when he returned later in the evening.

Intoxicated man at McDonald's. Police arrested a 31-year-old man for public intoxication.

Elsewhere Terrace

Deceased 71-year-old man on Haugland Ave.

Two intoxicated people on Straume Ave. Police arrested a 22-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man for public intoxication.

BC Ambulance requesting police assistance with a suicidal 49-year-old man. BC Ambulance transported the man to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Man thinks he is being followed. Police have requested the assistance of Northern Mental Health with this ongoing situation.

Warrant issued for a 41-year-old woman who failed to attend court.

A blue 2001 Ford Windstar was pulled over on Park Ave. The 70-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. She was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition.

A grey 2003 Pontiac and a grey 2008 Ford Ranger collided on Hwy 16 west in the 4900 block. The driver of the Ford was detained for driving while impaired. She was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital by BC Ambulance. Under investigation.

Disturbance on Pear St. Police spoke with the people involved.

A 1979 blue Chevrolet truck was stolen from the Chances Casino parking lot sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. last night. The BC licence plate is BW 7577.

BC Ambulance request police assistance with an intoxicated youth on a trail behind the arena. An intoxicated unresponsive 15-year-old girl was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Two men getting ready to fight on the Sande Overpass. Police observed a shirtless man dancing by himself in the middle of the street. The 22-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

Voices can be heard on Haugland Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Theft of a cell phone from a vehicle parked in a driveway on Larch Ave.

Welfare fraud investigation.

Rural

A white 1991 Pontiac Firebird was observed swerving all over the road then hit the ditch on Hwy 37. Damage was minimal. No injuries. Police spoke with the people involved.

False residential alarm on Old Lakelse Lake Dr.

Two abandoned vehicles in Rosswood. A black 1992 Pontiac Grand Am and a red 1995 Plymouth Voyager. Checks were conducted.
