THE SEARCH for missing mushroom pickers Michael (Devlin) Sabo, 32, and Ike Murray, 26, heads into its fifth day tomorrow, Sept. 27.

Terrace RCMP and Terrace Search and Rescue numbered about 14 searchers, including the use of a helicopter, for the first three days until search and rescue and the families of both men appealed for more searchers to come help out.

Thirty-nine searchers divided into search teams of four with group leaders and were ferried in groups across the Skeena River today, Sept. 26.

The search is on the south slope of a hill on the north side of the Skeena between Lorne Creek and Fiddler Creek and the search first focused on a 3.5 km by 1 km area within the natural boundaries of creeks and the hill.

Searchers are also checking the waterways.

Sabo and Murray have not been seen since they set off together to pick mushrooms in the area of Lorne Creek along the Skeena River on the morning of Sunday, September 22.

If you would like to volunteer in the search, call Search and Rescue at 250-635-4669 and leave a message.

You can also go to the Search and Rescue Hall located at 4524 Greig Ave. tomorrow at 8 a.m.
