The Terrace RCMP is back with its 11th annual Cram-A-Cruiser event set to take place on Dec. 4.

This year the detachment is partnering with local grocery stores in Terrace – Safeway, Save On, and Wholesale Club.

On Dec. 4, members of the community can donate at these store locations between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

RCMP officers, support staff and their family members will be cramming their cruisers with donations of non perishable items as well as financial donations which will be delivered to the food banks following the event, said the Terrace RCMP in a statement.

The donations will be shared between the Terrace Church’s Food Bank, Salvation Army, and Ksan Place.

Past Cram-A-Cruiser events have collected up to 5,500 pounds of food for the Terrace Food Bank.

The RCMP listed some ideas of non perishable items that community members can donate, such as, cereals, shelf stable milk, canned goods, canned vegetables/fruit, baby products (formula, baby food, diapers), peanut butter, pastas/Sauce, rice, oats, canned chicken/turkey among others.
