Police seek owner of Polaris UTV that fled RCMP in Thornhill

Polaris seen at local pub, reported racing around Thornhill: RCMP

Police are asking for public help find the owner of a Polaris UTV that fled RCMP in Thornhill before Christmas.

On Dec. 23, the UTV was reported as arriving at a local pub in Thornhill with one man driving and two female passengers. It was also reported to be the subject of ongoing issues of racing around Thornhill. Police suspect alcohol was consumed prior to operating the vehicle, adding in a release that the UTV had no license plates, was overloaded, no helmets were worn, and the driver failed to stop when the officer initiated a traffic stop — also failing to stop at a stop sign.

If you are able to identify the owner or driver of the Polaris UTV, please contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
