Police deal with intoxicated man three times

TERRACE RCMP say the 24-year-old wouldn't leave a residence, then was bothering motorists and then caused problems at the Thornhill Pub

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 19 calls for service from October 9, 8 a.m. till October 10, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there have been four people lodged in Terrace Cells, none for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Two loud bangs were heard on Park Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Elsewhere Terrace

Fight outside of a residence on Davis Ave. Police spoke with the people involved and an intoxicated 45-year-old man left to sober up.

Neighbourhood dispute. Under investigation.

Well-being check. Under investigation.

A notification of next of kin. Ongoing efforts to locate the family member.

A laptop was stolen. Under investigation.

Distribution of child pornography investigation.

Party on Pear St. Police attended. Unfounded.

A black bear trying to get into a residence on Little Ave. Police conducted checks and advised the homeowner to keep garbage inside. Conservation has been advised.

False residential alarm on Muller Ave.

A red 1990 Ford truck was observed leaving the Back Eddy Pub and pulled over. The 21-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail and a warn. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A blue 2007 Dodge pickup truck was checked on Lakelse Ave. The 48-year-old driver was a prohibited driver. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Harassment compliant. Ongoing text messages.

Upset customer. Yelling at staff. People spoke with the people involved.

Thornhill

Intoxicated man refusing to leave a residence. He left prior to police attendance. A call was received on the same man later when he was trying to stop cars on Hwy 16 near the Mac's Convenience Store. Police spoke with the man and left him in the care of a sober person. A short time later police attended to the Thornhill Pub on a theft complaint. The same man was again involved. The 24-year-old man was arrested for breaching an undertaking of not to consume alcohol. Under investigation.

Rural

Domestic dispute. A 42-year-old man was arrested for assault. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. No injuries.
