POLICE, PARAMEDICS and first responders are at the scene of an accident that sent a pickup truck off Hwy 16 between the four-way stop and Old Lakelse Road earlier this morning.
A black GMC pickup knocked out a light standard, went down the embankment through the bushes and came to rest at the bottom on the north side of Hwy 16, in what police said was a two-vehicle accident.
At this time, it's not clear what happened to the other vehicle or if it left the road.
BC ambulance took at least one person to hospital.
The collision analyst was called out to the accident site.
Traffic is being directed around the accident by police and police reported at about noon that Hwy 16 will be closed between the four-way stop and Old Lakelse Lake Road for at least two hours.
Police continue to investigate.
