One male has died as a result of a motor vehicle incident that occurred last night on Highway 37 North.
New Hazelton RCMP received a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 37 N approximately 7 km north of Kitwanga, at approximately 11:35pm.
Witnesses advised police that the black Pontiac was observed traveling south bound in the north bound lane before over correcting and crashing into the right ditch. The lone male occupant was ejected and once emergency personnel arrived on scene, it was confirmed the male had died.
Highway 37 N is currently closed in both directions. A detour route is available.
