Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 87 calls for service from May 6th, 8 a.m. till May 9th, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, nine people were lodged in Terrace cells – two of these people were lodged for intoxication.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
Police intervened between two intoxicated men arguing outside of a pub in Thornhill. Shortly after, one of the men returned driving a grey Toyota Tundra in an aggressive manner. He then exited the vehicle and approached the crowd yelling and swearing. Police arrested the 46-year-old man. He refused to provide a sample of breath. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Car shopping in the area of 4700 block of Scott Ave. Police spoke with a group in the area matching the description provided. Suspected stolen items and drug paraphernalia were seized. Two people were arrested. Charges are being forwarded on a 41-year-old man and a youth.
A man assaulted a woman causing injuries. The man then suffered injuries from the woman and another man. Under investigation.
Intoxicated person with no pants sitting in a vehicle. Police arrested a 40-year-old man. He provided two samples of breath that were more than double the legal limit. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A loaded handgun was seized from a motel room. Charges are being forwarded on a 46-year-old man.
Harassment complaint. Under investigation.
Sexual interference investigation.
Single vehicle collision at the Chevron gas station on Hwy 16 east. A black Pontiac Grand Prix had crashed and ended up onto a cement barrier. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Under investigation.
A Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone was stolen from behind the counter at the Tillicum Twin Theatres.
Break and enter and breach of a probation condition of no contact with a person. Police arrested an intoxicated 53-year-old man who was passed out on a couch in a residence. He is held for court.
