Drunk 12-year-old turned over to family

Terrace RCMP called about the boy, who was on Lazelle Ave.

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 38 calls for service from April 15, 8 a.m. till April 16, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were 10 people lodged in Terrace cells. Seven of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

a 2001 Volkswagon Jetta struck a 75-year-old man while backing out of a parking stall at the Royal Bank. The man was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

man panhandling near the Tim Horton's on Lakelse. Police spoke with the 56-year-old man.

false business alarm on Park Ave.

two intoxicated people on Lazelle Ave. A family member took custody of the 12-year-old intoxicated boy. Police arrested the other person, a 29-year-old man, and impounded his dog.

hit and run at the Save On Foods parking lot. A man and his family parked their 2012 Dodge Journey van and returned to find the front end extensively damaged. Police attended and observed that the vehicle did not have any damage at all except perhaps a bent licence plate. The hit and run is unsubstantiated.

Elsewhere Terrace

a man at the men's shelter on Hall St causing problems. Police spoke with the 30-year-old man.

a man causing problems at Mills Memorial Hospital and refusing to leave. He left on his own accord prior to police attendance. He returned a short time later. Police transported the 42-year-old man to an alternate location.

a wallet containing various cards and ID was lost on Olson Ave.

domestic disturbance. Separation issues. The people involved were spoken with and agreed to communicate in a more appropriate fashion.

an intoxicated man banging and kicking a door of a residence on Park Ave. A 27-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

separation conflict. Police spoke with a man. He is concerned about the manner his ex is treating his belongings. Ongoing investigation.

separation conflict. A man entered a residence where he used to live and took some of his belongings, contrary to an agreement of doing this when a mutual time/date can be arranged.

domestic. An intoxicated man locked a woman out of a residence. The woman refused to cooperate with police. A short time later police were called back to the residence and provided transport for a woman to alternate lodgings for the night.

man causing problems at the shelter on Hall St. Police arrest an intoxicated 42-year-old man for mischief.

domestic assault. A man punched a woman and smashed her head on a counter. Police requested the assistance of BC Ambulance for treatment of injuries the woman received. The 17-year-old man fled prior to police attendance.

an intoxicated man on Little Ave. Checks were done of area.

theft of a white ladies cruiser style bike, high handle bars, fenders front and back, from a back yard on Straume Ave.

Thornhill

break and enter to a business on Kenworth St.

break and enter to a residence on Queensway Dr. Under investigation.

intoxicated man urinating on the outside of the Costa Lessa Motel on Hwy 16 East. A 28-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

break and enter to a residence on Paquette Ave. The thief busted a padlock and entered the house then ate food.

well-being check. Police spoke with the 22-year-old man and he was fine.

an erratic driver on an ATV with a small child approximately four-years-old not wearing a helmet on Muller Ave.

a black 1999 Ford F-350 truck driven by a 46-year-old man tailgated a grey 2003 Ford dually crew cab truck driven by a 28-year-old man. A second call was received that the Ford dually cut off the Ford F-350. The two men are familiar with each other and police.

abandoned 911 call on Haugland Ave.

intoxicated person passed out underneath the stairs of the apartment buildings on Scott Ave. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for public intoxication.

police assisted the Terrace Fire Department with a structure fire on Marion Ave.

Rural

separation dispute. A man took the keys and removed the licence plate from a vehicle that is common property.

a wallet was found on the riverbank of the Skeena River near Shames Mountain Rd. The wallet was returned to its owner. It had been stolen approximately seven years ago.

AWOL 15-year-old boy. He returned a short time later.

Kitsumkalum

- an intoxicated 31-year-old man refusing to leave a residence on Ecstall Ave. He left prior to police attendance.
