If you live in Terrace, Thornhill or the surrounding area, the City of Terrace and the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine want to hear from you.

Both governments are collaborating on an online survey to “better understand the housing challenges in our communities.”

The Housing Needs Assessment Survey takes five to 10 minutes to complete, and asks questions about residents’ housing situation, like if they live in a single family home or apartment, live with roommates, cost of living and ability to afford housing.

The last time Terrace completed a housing needs assessment was in 2014. That report found that from 2009 to 2014, groups of people that had difficulty accessing affordable and suitable funding had grown, including single parents, Indigenous families, seniors and new arrivals to the area.
