The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine and City of Terrace want your Christmas tree.

They are holding the annual Christmas Tree Chipping for Charity event on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the old Co-op parking lot beside the George Little House.

People living in the regional district or Terrace can bring their Christmas trees to 4617 Greig Ave. to have the trees turned into compost in exchange for a food bank donation. The process will be a drop-and-go system due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
