A STEADY stream of city residents were casting their votes at the advance poll at the sportsplex earlier today.
Regional district voters could also cast their ballots at the sportsplex but not as many were coming out.
Election workers indicated that on the first advance voting day, Nov. 9, fewer seniors came out than usual, possibly due to the weather.
They also said that many candidates had already voted.
Advance voting can be done up until 8 p.m. tonight.
Election day is this Saturday Nov. 19.
Election staff remind the public that, although there will be six people sitting on city council as councillors, voters do not have to vote for six on their ballots.
In addition, city residents are voting for mayor and two school trustees.
Regional district voters who live in Area C (the area around the city except for Thornhill) or Area E (Thornhill) will choose one candidate to represent them on the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine board of directors.
