Early voting for the general election is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today in Terrace.

Voters who have already made up their minds ahead of the general election Oct. 20 can fill out their ballots for city council, school board trustee, and regional district representatives upstairs in the Terrace Sportsplex, multipurpose room three.

An additional advanced voting opportunity will be held at the same location on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

As of noon, chief election officer Cathy Jackson said turnout has been “quiet” so far but guesses it’s because some voters are waiting for the municipal debate tonight to make their choice.
