Just in time for Labour Day weekend, the Terrace Fire Department has lifted the campfire ban for Ferry Island Campground.
All other fire bans within the City of Terrace will still be in effect at this time.
The City of Terrace and fire department are reminding the public that the ban covers all types of fires, including backyard food fires. The ban also includes any active burning permits issued by the city. The only exceptions are propane and briquette barbecues.
