Terrace RCMP are asking the public to report any suspicious adult interactions with children following two separate incidents of concern.
In a press release police say on Jan. 4 they received a report of an elderly man approaching a boy walking home and asking where he lived. The man was reported to be standing in trees near the school and was described as Caucasian, in his 70s wearing a black DC ball cap and blue jeans.
A few weeks prior to that a teenage girl walking downtown around 2:30 a.m. reported being approached by a man and then followed in a blue sedan. He was described as Caucasian in his 30s, over six-feet tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing shorts and a short-sleeve shirt.
As of Jan. 22 police had not substantiated either claim, but ask the public to review safety protocol with their children and report any suspicious interactions.
