A Terrace woman is in police custody following the stabbing of an unidentified man Dec. 31.

Around 3 p.m. police were responding to a report of several people climbing onto the roof of a downtown building, in an apparent attempt to remove a flag, according to a Terrace RCMP press release.

When police arrived they spotted a group of people fighting in the alley behind the Kalum Street building. One man had suffered a stab wound to his abdomen and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Chantille Gray, 25, was charged with one count each of Aggravated Assault, Mischief, Resist Arrest, and Obstruction.

She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 3.

Police said two other women were arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court.
