Rotary raised about $27,000 in its annual Wild Duck Race Aug. 7.
Two Terrace residents and a Prince Rupert resident won the prizes: Gord Shaben won the $25,000 cash prize, Diane Daschuk of Prince Rupert won the $1,000 gift card to Home Hardware and Scott Northridge won the $500 gift card to Canadian Tire.
Ducks were dropped from a helicopter north of the new bridges into the Skeena River at 11 a.m. last Sunday and seven boats of duck wranglers waited with nets at the finish line to capture the winners and keep the rest from floating away down the river.
