MORE THAN 40 people braved the harsh wind to participate in the Terry Fox Run here last Sunday.
Some started to run early and in all, $668.82 was raised to go to cancer research, said organizer Kim MacDougall.
“That's not bad. I'm happy,” she said.
The wind was so bad, the tent had to be tied to a tree and the Terry Fox Run sign had to be put up with a screwdriver though a tree to hold it, she said.
Despite the weather, those who turned out had a good time, said MacDougall.
This year, there were many t-shirts left over, compared to last year when MacDougall sold them all, including her own shirt.
