Terrace has been named among the Top 10 Best Mountain Towns in Canada by a popular vacation planning website. Ranking us in second place, the Expedia.ca list states that Terrace is “a great pick for a weekend in the mountains” and that this “northwestern BC village has it all.”

Included in “having it all” are outdoor ice-skating, relaxing hot springs, laid-back nightlife and a note that our local mountain (Shames) is owned by locals, naming My Mountain Co-op as “pretty cool” and the reason that our “snow sports are better.”

The other two BC spots named in the list are Sun Peaks at #8 and Courtenay at #10. The rest of the list is as follows: #1 Pincher Creek, Alberta; #3 Rocky Mountain House, Alberta; #4 Haines Junction, Yukon; #5 Mont-Tremblay, Quebec; #6 Norris Point, Newfoundland and Labrador; #7 Uxbridge, Ontario; #9 Hinton, Alberta.
