Local teachers received a valuable lifesaving skill last week when 14 of them were given CPR training.

The event was through the Advanced Coronary Treatment (ACT) foundation and took place at Skeena Junior Secondary School, Jan. 25.

Upon learning this skill the teachers will be passing it on to Grade 10 students.

ACT estimates the training will result in more than 400 Grade 10 students learning CPR annually.
